SiteMinder Issue in IIS7 Integrated pipeline
11/10/15 12:36 PM

Hi All,

We have an issue with SiteMinder from CA when we have installed BlueDragon 7.1 on a Windows 2008 R2 server and where we run both CA and BlueDragon in integrated mode using the modules.

The issue is when we invoke CA, the CA agent is called to provide a SMSESSION Cookie. Once logged on to CA, this re-directs back to the called page. The issue we are witnessing is that the CA page constantly redirects to the calling page, then back to CA server and loops with a constant 302 redirect until it finally aborts. There is no issue with the SM install as it works when we remove the BD Modules; however when we add the BD Modules back in, the constant 302 is witnessed.

I forgot to mention that the CA authentication also works with classic asp, but this is due to the fact that this never calls the BD Module. I have attempted to re-order the BD and CA modules in the priority list, but it has no effect. All we witness in the IIS logs is a constant 302 between CA and the web server page being intially called. There is no code issue on the pages as we have tested with a simple .aspx and .cfm page with hello in it and get the same behaviour.

It appears there is some conflic betweem CA and BD when both running in integrated mode and using the modules. CA works normally once we remove the BD Module :(..

Additional info: Server WK2008R2 is 64 bit and the CA runs okay without bluedragon modules for 32 and 64 bit sites. However fails as per above for both 32 and 64 bit websites..
